New mysterious Apple product seen in Apple Store Munich.
Will this be the new product line in 2010 ?
We had the chance to “see” and film it while our 2 hour brickfilm workshop LIVE inside the Apple Store, Munich.
The workshop with me and Sandra was to show people, what brickfilming is and what we use for it. We were invited by Boinx Software (creators of iStopMotion) and Apple to this Artis-Serial called “Made on a MAC”. The workshop was cool, all the people very nice and the APPLE Store Munich was crowded. The people very interested in what we made and showed. First there was a overview about stopmotion and why LEGO bricks are so cool to animate. Then we made an animated short right inside the store.
Keep in mind that the first part of the Movie was made LIVE at the Apple Store in Munich (with a lot of people watching), so the light flickers and you can see the reflections of the audience at the brickish front of the Lego-made-Apple-Store. The second part of the Clip was made at home, one day prior to the event. We combined both parts, the Sound-Effects, the Music and Voices at the end of the brickfilm-show inside the Store.

two days left and we will be at the event “Made on a MAC - Movies with LEGO Bricks” at the Apple Store, Munich, Germany. Right now the Show is featured on the Apple Website.
a huge dragon, swimming in front of the LEGO-Store (Downtown Disney), Orlando, FL, USA. Again it was a nice visit and the trunk of the car was fully loaded with a few brand-new LEGOSETS. Home again it was time to build them. And we made some animated time-laps clips, with the new bricks. In the same time, we were setting up a new Playlist on youtube for time-laps clips, we called it “golego SpeedBuilding” See it HERE
Our X-Mas Film 2009 was made for the “Christmas-Contest 2009″ by brick-cinema.com - The Film won second Place!
A spoof about something that happens every day, worldwide. And why should it not happen to this guy ? It´s in german, but if you click in the clip and it directs you to youtube, you´ll get english subtitles. Have fun!
“Made on a MAC” - that´s the title of the Artist Series hold in Apple Stores, where Artists show what they do with their MACs.
Apple and BOINX Software asked if “golego shows the world of animating bricks” within this series. If you like to see us in action, be there. The event will be in January 2010, Friday, the 22th. In between 18pm for round about 2 hours.
We will show the whole workflow in making a brickfilm with our MacBook Pro - using Bricks, iStopMotion, iMovie/FinalCut Studio, Motion3, Logic Studio, a bunch of Sound-Effects and Music. There will be a nice Set out of LEGO-Bricks, our Camera and other Hardware like a desklamp, beside the Computer. We´ll explain how iStopMotion works, how easy it is to make animations with it and what else comes to have a web ready nice little clip. Handwork meets Computerwork. Maybe we will see you there ?

DK Publishing published “THE LEGO BOOK”. It is not only a book, it´s two books about the history of LEGO itself, the timeline of products, minifigs and the world of fans of Lego.
There is a short chapter about “Filming with Bricks” and the “LEGO-Studio”-Line.
And guess what ? Inside there is a picture out of our movie “E.A.R.T.H. 2.0″ - isn´t that cool?
“Only Men Aloud ft. Bonnie Tyler” with the 2009 re-release of “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” is now online. The Song is hot - maybe entering the charts ?
We where asked by decca Music Group / Universal Music Group to make a clip for the song - release of the Single and Album will be on October, 12th.
The frech production company “steamboat films” in Paris will feature our animation “MIMUS” in a report they produce for ARTE.
It will be a 26 Minutes long report about the 50th anniversary of the LEGO-brick and it´s studs” in 2009.
They will edit the report in september - broadcasting will be this year. The report will be in French and German.
There also will be a DVD available at the “Centre Pompidou” in contemporary art Museum, Paris. This DVD and the report about “Bricks”
is part of a collection of films called “Design”, devoted to objects of industrial design of the 20th Century.
We won a golden AWARD for our 2008 movie “802.701 - The Time Machine” - it´s like a little Oscar.
bricksinmotion.com gave us this award in the category: BEST SET DESIGN.
